Our Thursday fun

Tuesdays and Thursdays are always lots of fun because Layla is off school those days so we get adventurous and find things to do. Today was no different. Layla slept in really late (well, really late for her, about 9am) and while she was sleeping, I was up making homemade strawberry pancakes. They turned out so good and Layla was so excited to see them when she woke up. She has been obsessed with strawberries lately so eating them with pancakes (one of her all time favorite foods) was heaven to her.

After that we got ready and headed to the Living Desert. The weather was PERFECT today. These are the days where you just want to be outside all day and are so thankful to live in the beautiful desert. We had so much fun. They recently put in a carousel which we hadn't tried yet, Layla picked out the hummingbird to ride. We also took lots of breaks and sat in the shade just watching the animals. We had a great time today but after doing all the walking, I am ready for a nap!
