Happy Valentine's Day!

It's Valentine's Day and I got to spend the day with my little Valentine princess. Even though days like this aren't that big of a deal, I still wish that Ed was here to celebrate them with us. Looking back on the 5.5 years we've been married, I think we've only been together on Valentine's Day maybe once. For some reason we're just not meant to be physically together on Valentine's. Oh well, there's always next year. This morning Layla woke up and saw her goodie bag I had made for her. She has been dying for the I heart Jonas DVD, so she got that along with some candy, stickers, and bubbles. She was very happy!

After that I made us a heart breakfast. A sunny side up heart egg on toast and heart pancakes. Yum!

Then it was time for our Valentine's Day craft! Heart crayons (notice a theme?)! We dug through all of Layla's crayon boxes to find the broken crayons and then peeled all the paper off of them. Then Layla broke them up into even smaller pieces and seperated them into the heart molds. After that we cooked them in the oven for 15 minutes and voila! Heart crayons! They turned out super cute and work great.

After lunch it was time to head to my good friend Jessica's daughter Ana's 2nd birthday party. Miss Ana is a little princess so of course she had a princess birthday party. When we first got there she was dressed in a Belle princess dress and looked so adorable but shortly after we arrived she stripped down to her diaper and tore out the bow in her hair. She has such a little personality! Layla had fun on the bounce house and trampoline with all the kids but she wouldn't go on anything unless Ana was right there with her (they are totally BFF's). We had a great time and it's so good seeing Jessica and Ana, we love those girls!
