Magic Mountain and RC Racing

Yesterday was such a fun day! We woke up bright and early and headed out for Valencia, CA. Now, this isn't my ideal trip, I would much rather go to the beach but Ed had to go to a certain RC track that was literally 3 minutes away from Magic Mountain. I was a bit hesitant to go at first but I am so glad we did. It was so much fun! The drive seemed like it went super fast and we were there and in line buying tickets before we knew it. When we first walked into the park, Tweety Bird was right there waiting to greet us. Layla loooved her and was so excited to get to take a picture with her. After that we headed on over to the kids part of Magic Mountain. There isn't a ton there for little kids but there is enough to make a day out of it. Daddy was such a good sport and went on anything Layla wanted to go on, even a bird cage!
They even had a Thomas the train section and Layla loved it, maybe that's because she has a million Thomas toys so riding the real thing was awesome!

Ed wanted to go play some carnival games so we headed out to that part of the theme park. The first game we tried was the coin toss, you know, the one where you have to throw a quarter onto a plate and it's near impossible to get it to stay there? Ya, Layla's first throw (on overhand throw, may I add) she landed the quarter on the plate with no problem. The lady working there was even shocked! Layla got to pick out whatever huge stuffed animal she wanted and she chose a Tweety Bird, of course. She was so proud of herself and she should be, it was awesome! Then Ed wanted them to guess his weight, he swore they wouldn't be able to get it right. The lady that was guessing ended up being off by 50 lbs! Needless to say Ed got to pick whatever price he wanted and chose a pink Super Woman cape for Layla. Games are always so much fun!

After Magic Mountain it was time to watch Ed race his RC car. I'm not going to lie, I felt like such a dork being there but it ended up being a lot of fun. Layla loved watching Daddy race his car and every time Ed would wreck, I would make fun of him. It was such a great trip and I'm so glad we were able to do it.
