New Belgium

What a GREAT day we had today, days like this make me that much more grateful that Ed is back with us and we're out of the desert. I love our little family and just having the 3 of us together, it means everything to me. Since Ed got his kegerator the other day he was looking into getting a keg for it and really wanted a New Belgium one (specifically Skinny Dip). He looked everywhere locally and then decided to call the brewery and ask about it there which is in Ft. Collins (about 2.5 hours away). After calling about it and getting excited that he could infact get what he wanted, I suggested that we drive out there today and take a tour of the brewery and make a day out of it. He didn't have any problems with that! He called and got us squeezed in for the tour and some how (which is so typical of Ed) sweet talked his way into getting a 40% employee discount on everything he purchases while there. Awesome news!

We ended up getting to the brewery around 10:30am and our tour started at 11am. Who knew that it would be so freezing outside? 45 degrees and cloudy, brrr! Thank God they had sweaters there to buy, I love my Fat Tire sweater, it'll get lots of use. Anwyay, the tour last 90 minutes and was so interesting. We each got 5 samples of their different beer throughout the tour but I took one for the team and was our DD so Ed got 10 samples. Let's just say by the end of the tour Ed was feeling pretty darn good. We had such a great time! And let's not forget about the full keg (for only $65 thanks to our employee discount)that we came home with. Ed's new favorite, Hoptober. After the brewery tour since Layla was such a good girl (what's new? She's always perfect) we decided to go to Fort Fun which is basically a Chuckie Cheese. We ate pizza, played lots of games, and Layla and Ed raced go carts. Such a great day. I am so happy we are a family again and able to go out and do these fun things together, I can't even explain how it feels.
