Our new garden

Not too long ago my mom and I were out and about shopping and had to run into Bed, Bath & Beyond for a few things. When we walked in we saw a Topsy Turvy and got to talking about it and decided we wanted to grow our own tomatoes. We ended up buying one and planted our tomato plants about a week or so ago. One in the Topsy Turvy and the other in the ground, out back. It was been a great learning experience for Layla, to be able to plant something, watch it grow, and then when we finally get a nice, red tomato to eat our hard work. Well, just this morning while we were outside, we found our first tomato! It'll still be awhile before we can pick it and eat it but it's so fun to watch it grow, Layla is so excited about it!
Since we planted our tomato plants, Layla has been begging to plant some carrots and anything else she can get us to plant. So yesterday I went out and bought some carrot and green pepper seeds and this morning we decided to go outside and plant them. Layla loved it and is so excited to pick her carrots when they're ready!
