Christmas Ball

Last night was Ed's unit Christmas Ball and we had SO much fun. The Achee's watched Layla for us, they had a little slumber party and she had a blast with them. It was so nice not having to worry about picking her up at the daycare by midnight. Actually, the last ball we went to was when Layla was only 9 months old, in 2006! That year we left her with the CDC and it was hell. Poor thing cried the entire time we were gone and I knew it would be awhile before we ever tried doing that again. The ball was from 5pm-midnight and we got there a little after 5pm. Turns out Ed forgot something so we had to run home super quick which didn't start the night off very smooth but everything worked out perfectly after that and we couldn't have had a better time. The first couple of hours at the ball is dinner, a slide show, special guest speakers, and then the company's all contribute to the grog. After the grog is complete, dancing and drinking begin! P.S. If you didn't notice, I am totally rocking my Senior Prom dress! Oh ya! LOL Now, this is where things get a little fuzzy. We decided to leave with some friends and hit up a few bars before going home but by this point I had already had way too much to drink. Just thinking about the night cracks me up, we had a BLAST and it was so nice to be able to get out, just the two of us, who knows when we'll actually get to do that again. Oh, and when we left the bar and started walking back to our car, it started snowing! It was so pretty and I was super excited, as you can see!
